Toyin Abraham, an award-winning Nollywood actress, has announced that Abiola Oyetunde, one of the students who participated in Africa Film Academy’s (AFA) ‘Film-in-a-Box’ training, has been chosen as one of the writers to work with her on her new project. The chosen student is a graduate of Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-sponsored Olu’s ‘Film in a Box’ training and project for emerging filmmakers. Abiola Oyetunde, the chosen student, recently completed a screening training with the first cohort at the recently concluded training in the Alimosho area of Lagos State.
Abiola Oyetunde, who was chosen by the ‘Alakada’ star to join her team, is one of the 13 finalists chosen by Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi.
The ‘Film in a Box’ project and training is one of the projects commissioned by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu under the THEMES agenda through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Arts led by Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf.
The project will take place in the Lagos state communities of Epe, Badagry, Ikorodu, and Alimosho. Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, founder of Africa Film Academy and AMAAs, expressed her excitement about the move.
She went on to say that the adoption demonstrates that the Governor Sanwo-Olu-backed project is making historic strides among youths in Lagos.
