Dana White downplayed rumors that he was a millionaire due to his fortune, saying podcast host Bill Maher, “I’ve done okay.”
Since taking over as president in 2001, White, 54, has guided the mixed martial arts promotion organization Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to become a multibillion dollar enterprise.
Although White is well-known for leading an ostentatious lifestyle, Maher, 68, asked him explicitly whether he is a billionaire during an interview on his Club Random podcast. White’s response was, “No, no, not really.”
“But you’ve made a f***ing lot of lolly on this s***, right?” Maher inquired in response.
White answered, “I’ve done okay,” in response. I’ve performed admirably.
The fight promoter, however, mocked media outlets that conjectured about his bank account balance by stating, “I saw this thing the other day.” Something along the lines of “Dana White in 2001 worth, you know, whatever” was posted on Instagram. After then, it rises to 93,000 and eventually reaches 500 million.
“They’re clueless! Nothing you f***ing read is credible. Never trust anything you read. Man, it’s all bullshit.
Athletes went crazy at a press conference for UFC 300 earlier this month when White declared he would respect competitors’ demands for $300,000 bonuses.
The fighters that generate the “Fight of the Night” and any others who have outstanding finishes are usually awarded bonuses of $50,000 by the UFC.
Some athletes on the UFC 300 card demanded $300,000 in incentives for the competition on April 13 after the UFC raised bonuses to $100,000 at UFC 100 in 2009.
One of the greatest knockouts in history occurred at UFC 300 when Max Holloway faceplanted Justin Gaethje in the last seconds of their BMF title match.
After dominating Gaethje for five rounds, Holloway finished off an incredible performance with a captivating knockout that left Gaethje face-first on the ground.
Normally competing at lightweight weight classes, McGregor and Chandler will square off at 170 pounds when UFC 303 takes place during International Fight Week.
In January 2020, McGregor defeated Donald Cerrone in the first round of the UFC, winning in just 40 seconds. The 35-year-old Irishman was a lightweight and featherweight champion in the past.
