According to manager Carlo Ancelotti, Jude Bellingham’s position at Real Madrid will not alter as a result of Kylian Mbappe’s arrival.
In his rookie season, Bellingham, a 21-year-old midfielder from England, contributed significantly to the Spanish team’s victory in both La Liga and the Champions League by scoring 23 goals in 42 games.
The 25-year-old striker for France, Mbappe, left Paris St-Germain this summer to sign for Real on a free transfer.
Bellingham wouldn’t play a bigger part to accommodate Mbappe, according to Ancelotti, who stated: “Nothing changes for him.” Nothing is altered.
“He was a big surprise in the first season; he was a really mature guy with amazing quality.” The upcoming season won’t be any different.
Following criticism of Bellingham’s efforts in Euro 2024, where England advanced to the final, the Italian also supported Bellingham.
He continued, “This is just my opinion, but Bellingham performed really well at the Euros.”
“England performed incredibly well; they made it to the final and almost won it. I’m not sure how worn out the players are from the match.
“The key players are accustomed to playing every three days; they handle that really well and don’t have any issues towards the end of the season.”
After Mauricio Pochettino, Graham Potter, and Thomas Tuchel were fired from Chelsea after the ownership transition, Ancelotti has also asked Chelsea’s owners to exercise more patience with their managers.
At the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte on Tuesday, the former Blues boss will take on his countryman Enzo Maresca as both clubs wrap up their US tours.
“They invested a lot,” he continued. They have a youthful, talented team with good players. Their manager is a young person. The owners must exercise some patience in order to learn from their mistakes and advance.
However, the signings they’ve made are excellent.
Ancelotti began by saying, “We love him,” before going on to clarify that Madrid does not need to re-sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was sent on loan to Santiago Bernabeu last season. We love him, but we’re covered in that posture.
