One of the most unforgettable experiences for MC OJB as a comedian was when Alibaba, the King of Comedy, invaded his gig last month in Kent, England.
“It blew my head,” he says. I was humbled. I felt like I must be doing something right because the King of Comedy showed up at my show and also took the stage.”
OJB claimed Alibaba surprised him while he was at the show, when he revealed his ideas on society’s perception of the humour-making company.
“In comparison to what it was before, my perspective has shifted. “We are now perceived as businessmen, putting smiles on people’s faces and profiting from it,” the king of comedy observed.
Alibaba, on the other hand, recommended aspiring comedians to thoroughly research the industry before getting involved. “Remember that you can’t be funny forever,” he added, “so invest while you’re on top.”
MC OJB expressed his gratitude to the humour merchant for appearing on his show.
Meanwhile, the ace comic plans to film ‘My Experience,’ a comedy franchise, in both Lagos and Ibadan.
MC OJB stated he began his career as a master of ceremony before moving on to stand-up comedy.
“I started off as an event master of ceremony, and part of your job as an MC is to entertain the crowd.” As an introvert, the comedy industry was beneficial to me. Many people would be surprised to learn that I am an introvert. I enjoy making others smile, so comedy isn’t just a job for me; it’s a way of life. The finest part of my profession is seeing people laugh and love what I do. As a comic, my top aim is to relieve people’s stress,” he stated.
MC OJB went on to say that Seyilaw, AY, Basketmouth, Alibaba, and Kevin Hart had affected him.
