Thinking back on her “very public beef” with Candace Cameron Bure, JoJo Siwa is reflecting.
In her most recent “JoJo Siwa Now” podcast, the 21-year-old “Dance Moms” alum named the celebrities she would never invite to appear on her show. Among them was the “Full House” star, who she claims was impolite to her.
“Honestly, no real shade anymore to Cameron, I just wouldn’t have her on my podcast, you know what I mean?” “I would just not say hi” if I saw her, she said.
When asked to name the rudest celebrity she had ever met, Siwa responded with an image of Bure in a TikTok video that went popular in 2022, sparking the public feud.
In an Instagram video later, Bure revealed that Siwa’s TikTok had “shocked” her. The actress from “Full House” claimed to have called Siwa and had a “great conversation,” in which Siwa revealed that Bure had once refused to have her photo taken at a premiere.
Siwa reiterated on her show that she didn’t intend for her TikTok to get popular but that Bure was the rudest celebrity she had ever encountered. She stated that while it’s “fine,” the actress “wasn’t nice to me as a kid.” “Because we do have some mutual friends,” she said she felt awful about calling Bure out at first, but she later changed her mind.
“Then I found out some things about Candace that I was like, wait, this actually is pretty valid,” said Siwa. “I found out some shady things that she has done and some shady organizations that she has worked with.”
Particularly, Siwa objected to Bure’s contentious statement to The Wall Street Journal that the Great American Family network, on which she is chief content officer, will “keep traditional marriage at the core” in response to a question about whether the network would produce Christmas films featuring same-sex couples. Bure then stated that she had “great love and affection for all people” and added that it “absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.”
Candace Cameron Bure claims that when JoJo Siwa labeled her impolite in a TikTok video, she was “shocked.”
On the show, Siwa claimed that Bure’s remarks “stung” the LGBTQ+ community and that it’s “hard” for people in positions of authority to say things like that.
The singer of “Guilty Pleasure” previously discussed her feud with Bure on the podcast “The Viall Files” from the previous year, claiming that the actress’ remarks regarding LGBTQ Christmas movies “got to me a little bit.”
