Ivanka Trump, former US President Donald Trump’s daughter, has spoken out for the first time about her father’s conviction. On a podcast, Ivanka stated, “It’s painful to experience, but ultimately, I wish it didn’t have to be this way.” She had previously shown her support for her father by posting an old photo of herself and her father with the caption “I love you dad”. Notably, Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying company records in the hush money payment case involving porn star Stormy Daniels while campaigning for the 2016 presidential election.
Ivanka has so far remained out of the spotlight as her father campaigns for the 2024 presidential race. However, sources indicate that Ivanka will be in attendance to support her father at the Republican National Convention later this month in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This year’s RNC will take place from July 15 to 18 at the Fiserv Forum.
Ivanka was visible beside Trump during his 2016 and 2020 campaigns. During the 2020 convention, Ivanka introduced Donald Trump. Ivanka was a key figure in the 2016 Republican National Convention. However, this time, she is away from the action, and sources indicate Ivanka will merely be present to witness the speech and will not function in any political position at the event.
