Based on a survey done by personal injury attorneys, a few states in the US have been named the most dangerous places to live. According to a study using the WHO database, the US has 2.5 times higher death rates than the average for nations with comparable economic levels.
Homicide, car crashes, drug overdoses, suicides, poor treatment of cardiovascular illnesses, and a rise in the disease mortality rate are the main causes of death.
In order to determine which states are the most dangerous, Caputo and Van Der Walde Injury & Accident Attorneys have done a new study in which they defined ten categories on which each state is compared. These factors include crimes against persons, railroad injuries, gunshot mortality, and traffic deaths.
Five states were found to be the most risky by the survey.
New Mexico: At the top of the list, the most dangerous state, with a high rate of traffic accidents, assaults, burglaries, homicides, etc. The firearm fatality rate is about twice as high as the national average.
Louisiana is the state with the highest rate of road fatalities per billion miles, making it the most deadly.
Arkansas: The state’s homicide rate is twice as high as the national average.
Alaska: This state has the greatest rate of assault offenses, and the majority of crimes are classified as “crimes against persons,” which includes murder and assault.
Missouri: The state ranked highly in terms of assault offenses, vehicle thefts, and firearm fatalities.
A representative for Caputo and Van Der Walde damage and Accident Attorneys stated, “Due to high rates of injury from various sources, living in certain states in America can be particularly dangerous.”
The initiatives, like boosting financing for emergency medical services and enacting tougher traffic regulations, will help certain states. By resolving these problems, the governments can contribute to the safety of their citizens.
